A house extension on a hillside property impacts the garden
The clients children have left home (except for one!), and are looking to create their dream garden in unison with their new house extension.
The house extension plans where submitted for approval by the architect (client). The garden design has been requested to consider the consequential impact on levels in the garden, and how the outdoor space is best accessed. The clients wish to keep the open feel of the garden, and to relocate seating areas whilst ensuring the panoramic views of the moor are maintained.
This is a complex site due to the significant level changes and the client’s desire to keep the existing mature trees.
The extension and garden was to be built during 2020. The client’s brief (requested at the start of the design process) was that they wanted the plans drawn up so that they themselves, could oversee the garden build with the contractor.
