A garden design for a new build home with a blank canvas outdoor space
A garden design for a new build property in Eastburn, near Skipton. The design for this project started during the Covid-19 lockdown. This was a blank canvas, quite literally – turf and a few paving flags – so typical of new built homes.
The clients, a retired couple, are wanting to invest and create their dream garden, to relax and enjoy. They were looking for an undercover area to sit, and a new verandah will give them the sheltered space they need.
A waterfeature (waterbowl) is included to provide a focal point when viewed from inside the home, all year, and when sitting out under the verandah.
John has limited mobility so it was important to ensure that the only step is to the house, and the rest of the garden is flat and easy to move around. The pandemic and John’s illness had an impact on the build of the garden.
