Complete garden design & implementation | Skipton, North Yorkshire
It was time for Anne to create her own special place to bring joy to her life after years caring for her elderly father. The garden investment would allow our client to spend time outdoors tending to the plants, growing herbs and fruits, which she’d been looking forward to for a long time. Anne wanted professional support to guide her through implementing her garden transformation.
She was keen to retain views to a neighbour’s property where she could keep in touch with them most days, as well as waving to them from her kitchen window.
To include:
The small sloping garden had been neglected for a few years. There were some mature shrubs around the edges. Much of the rest of the garden had plastic membrane and gravel down to keep the weeds away.
We are awaiting photographs during the summer 2025.
“The design gave me more than I could have ever imagined. The plans were very clear and easy to understand. Everything came within my budget. The suggestions of a terrace and pergola work really well for me.
Melissa Morton’s communication was excellent, and almost always replied the same day. It was good to have Melissa’s input, and oversight during the build to deal with the landscape contractors questions.
My garden is wonderful. It draws me outside, and I am always outside now, either pottering about or taking the excuse for a sit and a cup of tea. Visitors are amazed at the transformation.
It is perfect for me and well worth the investment.”

Metal panel screens with planting to soften
Shed, coldframe and waterbut, Pergola to relax under climbing plants
We were delighted to be invited to this project as our client wanted to transform her garden whilst being supported and guided along the way.
She was keen for us to coordinate and work with a contractor (WS Stoneworks) to realise her dreams.
The garden design journey allowed her to confidently make decisions when needed.
Planned for autumn/winter 2023
